Fortunes have been made by controlling products. A gentleman once said that in his life he had 20 winning products. His definition of a winning product is any product that sold a million or more units. Out of those 20 products, he only invented two. The other 18 he found using the methods you will learn in this course.

In this manual, I am going to give you step-by-step instructions on how to find, evaluate, control, and sell products.

# 2: Lead Generating Sales Letters

Two one-page lead generating letters the “exact” same letters I send to plastics injection molders in the United States. One inquires about obsolete molds a business no longer uses and the other inquires about products that the company may have tried to market but the product did not live up to their expectations.

“REMEMBER” Any old letter will not work. You must know what to say in the letter to get them to call you back.

# 3:  Phone Scripts

Before you send out the letters, you must come up with a phone script for each type of letter. Remember, you want to sound like a professional and these phone scripts will do that for you.

# 4:  Product Evaluation Worksheets:

In order to properly evaluate your product there are a total of 20 questions you must answer. I have broken down the questions into two groups. I have created a worksheet for each group of questions.

# 5:  Exclusive Sales Agreement

You should consider the following in creating your exclusive sales agreement:

• Markets wanted
• Geographical territory wanted, national, international etc
• Minimum sales performance required for retaining exclusivity rights
• Contract time length
• Sales performance requirements
• Type of relationship you desire, as Exclusive Agent or Exclusive Distributor

The included Exclusive Sales Agreement eliminates all the hard work.

# 6:  Rep Agency Agreement

When it comes to presenting your product to a buyer, I recommend using a Sales representative. Sales representatives – sometimes called ‘manufacturers’ representatives or ‘manufacturers’ agent” – generally work for manufacturers or wholesalers. Sales representatives are the fastest and cheapest way to get national distribution of your product. No matter what your field of interest is, there are sales representatives who cover those fields.

You should enter into an agreement with your sales representative outlining things such as his commission, assigned territory, classes of trade, etc. I have created a sample agreement that you can use by just filling in the blanks.

Establishing a selling price for your product can be one of the toughest things you have to do in order to be successful.
